Describe Soccer Essay

I kicked the ball and if I remember correctly it went through at least three kids’ legs and went it in the goal. My mom since I was little wanted me to play football.

I love soccer because, it involves a lot of running and skill, I have been playing soccer since I was a wee lad, and it involves team effort. After that I played with a youth soccer club and that is for anybody who wants to try soccer or maybe just keep playing soccer. There is no I in team and that was the first thing I learned during my soccer career.

As I watch the ball soaring through the air, the sun puts a glare on the ball. I close my eyes and hear the ball sliding on the side net. Jumping up and down, I just won the game for the team. People call us field fairies but it takes a lot more skill than you think. Since I was five I have been playing soccer and I first started I played with the YMCA. Sometimes I think it gets a little to aggressive cause people get hurt a lot more than you would think. Another reason why I love soccer is because it takes a lot of team effort. If one person doesn’t try on the team or doesn’t give 110% your whole team loses.

The cold, cruel metal is the one place on the field I truly detest.

And although I respect and admire the field in nearly all its entirety, there is nothing I despise more than the prison that the bench represents.

While they can do nothing but watch and attempt to be supportive, they are anxiously waiting to get out and join the others on the limitless and far-reaching green ocean the grass field symbolizes.

The field is the one place I feel the most at home, and content with myself. The enormity of it all should make me feel insignificant but instead empowers me.Here, I can remember every victory as if it was all replaying right in front of my eyes for the second time. Here, I can do what I do best; and that is play soccer. I know that’s what I was thinking when I first played. He said we lost because we couldn’t connect 3 passes without getting the ball taken away. When you first play soccer, like first ever in your life your thinking wow, this is a lot more tricky than I thought it would be. They wanted to score the most goals and they didn’t care what anyone said. The goal is worn from age and the countless shots that have been taken on it over the years. The paint on it peels, and both grass and mud have permanently made their more than friendly acquaintance with it.It is a sanctuary for me, a therapist for my troubles, a shoulder to cry on for my bad days, and a best friend when I have no one to turn to.I believe that soccer is the greatest and most aggressive sport played. The voices cheer me on, attempt to coach me, and even sometimes get frustrated with me.The scoreboard, the one and only judge of the game, stands tall at the end of the field shadowing over me and my team mates.
